Hi all,
I am re-building my engine on a very tight budget as my future ex wife has taken almost everything except my vital organs.
My question is, can I re-use the old clutch plates. All 7 measure up at about 2.9mm. The engine was sat for a long time and the friction plates were lightly stuck on the plain plates so there are some marks but they should all hopefully clean up.
Should I re-use the plates?

If you're budget minded, and don't mind the risk, you can re-use them.
Degrease and clean them up, fine lap if glazed, soak in fresh oil.
Degrease and clean the steels, fine lap with 400 grit on a flat reference plate.

Avoid drag-racing...

Oil or grease don't gooper the cover gasket and they aren't that hard to change later.
