Hi all, seems I was a little slow off the mark and missed out on nominating my XS2 650 for the 2024 calender. I thought I'd show a few pictures anyway. I was an active 20 year old when I purchased the bike, I am now approaching my 72 birthday. If you do the math, my beautiful old XS2 has been with me for 51 years, it's 52 next April. Maybe I'll try for 2025 Calender. Cheers all, keep riding and stay safe.

You have a super lovely bike. I would nominate it too

That is truly a nice paint scheme. How many miles/ kilometers do you have on it?
26,887 miles. Most of them covered in its early years, these days it only come out to play on sunny days. The paint scheme is the original colour but not the original paint. Back in 1983 after a rider brain fade (to far past vertical on a wet road) I decided to return it to near new condition.

Thanks for the nice words, I think it's pretty special but maybe I'm a little bias it's been a friend for 50+ years
She's a beauty but I'm even more impressed by your long history of ownership. I love it when a bike becomes like a family member (I have a few that way as well) that you will keep forever. Well done. 🥰👍

It has given rise to a few heated discussions over the years, especially when the wife's car has had to sleep out at night because the Yammie has occupied her side of the garage. But what do you do, you can't put a 50 year old out in the cold. That said, she has suggested I sleep out the cold after those discussions. It's all good, I love them both. :)

I have the same discussion here. I have room to park 4 cars however they sit outside most of the time. However come winter I need to find room for her car otherwise she makes me get up and scrap the ice off and heat the car before she goes to work.
