Very nice bikes you spent your time well,I like the combination of parts you used on the tracker. Is your cafe tank an airtech medium vintage??? and how do you like the ascott pipes on the tracker do they perform and sound as good as they look?

Thanks, it's definetly a labor of love. I estimate I have about 3 years on an off labor in each bike. I like to really work out the problems before I put them together. The tank is from Grandprix glassworks and if I remember correctly its a 750 Champion. The exhaust was hand made by me before mikes was selling the Ascot pipes. I like to use 2 into 2 on my twins, it's a personal preference I guess.

Thanks guys, I will post up some more pics once the final pinstriping and decals are done.

Update pics with decals

The seat is from hotwing glass via ebay. I built brackets to support the seat with a tongue support in front and index pin at the back with 2 bolts to keep it from being stolen.

Very nice, Frank! I'm working on a '78 standard that will look somewhat similar to yours, although probably not quite as nicely turned out as you've managed.

Got a question about your Hotwings seat: did it come with the seat covering, padding, and snaps, or did you have to add these? If it did, was it already fitted or did you have to do that?

Beautiful bike!
I'm rebuilding my 78' Standard XS 650 into a cafe racer.
But I would love to put the XS 750 tank on this bike, looks much cooler.
Does anyone know if the 750 tank will fit the 650 without to many problems?
Cheers
Chris

I am part way through that project, nothing horrible. you will have to cut the front mount cups off of either the tank or frame probably easiest to cut them off the frame then mount the rubbers through the frame, I have seen it done with a through nut and bolt. There is a current thread on here showing it. The rear mount will work as is.

Here is one done by guy near Lake Michigan.
