I've got to mention this. I still laugh thinking about it. First morning out. We stopped for gas. While Gary was inside the station a guy walked by and looked the bikes over. Then said to me "You guys killed the retro look". I started laughing and had to explain that these are the real deal. He was sure they were newer bikes made to look old.
Everywhere we stopped people would come up and want to talk about the bikes. A lot of people said they had a 650 or new people that did. One of the bonuses of riding history.
Some random pics of the ride and the Ozarks.
Waiting out a storm.
Getting ready to battle the elements.
Exorcising demons.
View from the top of somewhere. Very scenic area we were riding in.
Butt break.
Good looking Specials with nice fairings. Not too bad a looking XS2.
Just got there.
Gary polishing her up for the second day.
Just a butt break along the way.
Ready to go. Bike was nice and clean then. Now it's a filthy pig. Going to take a week to get it clean.
