Original tacho parts

I've tried Mike's with no success & I don't really know where else to start looking.

All I need, is the rubber isolation ring that the tacho sits in, inside the chrome cup & a pair of the rubber tophats for my 1980 Spesh. I've had zero luck anywhere!

It took a minute, but I finally figured out that THAT is the sole source of my persistent, infuriating rattle!

Not sure what year you have, but I found both those for a 78SE at CMSL. Their prices are good and shipping, even from the Netherlands, is cheap. Just look for the correct year.

I have a 75 and there is no place to get one I had to home build one with guidance from the guys on this website
Others years parts may be out there

A lot of folk here put their bike model and year in their signature. That way it shows up in every comment.

I think I bought one of those but old fumble fingers couldn't get it to work
I used o rings that someone elses post mentioned
The o rings wasn't a treat to get in there either but they work so far but not the soft cushion from what you mentioned

Guess I'm cheap. Bought some car door trim rubber, cut it length-way to have proper fit. One side is stick-on. Can't really tell the difference once mounted.

Thanks, I got the ring dampers sorted out from CMSL (surprisingly cheap, even with the shipping they beat Partzilla) & the top hats from Partzilla. I should have it all on Thursday & installed at the weekend.
