Beaded Wainscot"? often 32" X 48"
This was 48" X 96".... 4 X 8ft. I think shiplap was on the shelf it came off of. Sounds familiar anyway...Beaded Wainscot"? often 32" X 48"
That’s really looking great JimGot the full 8' sheet up now, need to go for more ply. The "slat" lines didn't quiet line up... off a quarter of an inch or so. Thought long and hard (not!!) about fixing it. Finally decided it's just a van ceiling.... it ain't the Sistine Chapel...and I ain't Michelangelo. Close enough.
This van is all about utility and not about being a show winner.
Of note.... I did some rough calculations and it looks like the weight of all the ply for the ceiling and sides will be about 20-40lbs less that the weight of just the desktop that I pulled out of here. If I can keep this up, the finished product will be 500-600lbs lighter than when I drove it home. That's gotta help the gas mileage.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinkin'.a thin furring strip at the joints should bury the "mis-alignment"
Looks fantastic. I can’t help but think about all the looking up while laying out and fastening.Last piece of ceiling is in.
