57 psi max in the rear shocks

17 psi max in the front shocks.

Be careful if you fill them with a gas station air compressor, the volume of air the shocks hold is very minimal and you can blow the seals out in a heart beat.

The suggested pressures for a solo rider is 6 psi in the front and 14 psi in the rear.

Yup think so, carbs have the later bowls.
Spare carb set, wiring harnesses sold. I just got a couple new batteries.

Interest in these bikes seems to have waned recently. Parts are getting more and more scarce. Here in Mississippi, I wouldn't expect to be able to sell for much. It varies a great deal by location. I would be extremely disappointed if I couldn't $2K for it. Under the right conditions, it should bring $3K, but much is one year only in the US, including the ignition system. I hope it's running.
I'm sitting here with a friend from Toronto. He very recently sold his '81 XS1100 Trans Canada. He got $900 (Canadian) for it and a large collection of spares. It wasn't running and wasn't as pretty as your bike.

Pretty cheap in this market too. '79 near me is a good runner with 45k on the clock.... $1500.

Guess they can't ALL be XS650 popular.
This one IS in exceptional condition, but new 10 year old tires..........

I would love to have it but i have issues with 40+year old cable driven clutches...People here dont think these are worth much but the used bike market around here in NC has exploded..new bikes are hard to keep in stock and the lack of supply has driven the price up on everything used..bikes..trucks or cars...
 
It has a one year only ignition system? :umm: That doesn’t seem logical, and Japanese manufacturers are usually so cost conscious, sharing a single component over many models.
The XS1100 changed every year. The TCI was the same 1978 to 1980. The 1981 is one year only, as is the XJ1100 which is itself a one year only in the US.
