Got itRemove the axle nut AND loosen the two nuts on the left... not OR, you have to do BOTH. Then use the punch to twist the axle out.
I take it the hole in the axle does not need to be at like the 2 o'clock position when going back together again
High noon to midnight... and any hour in between... pick one.I take it the hole in the axle does not need to be at like the 2 o'clock position when going back together again
Also when you have the bike on a lift like that and remove a lot of weight from one end or the the other it's best to put some blocking under the wheel on the other end of the bike. doesn't take much to tip the bike/ lift and everything to the heavy end, that'll wreck your day but good.
The lift can go right over with the bike. Maybe not with just the wheel but drop the fork tubes and.............Good to know thanks it's ratchet down but I don't need bad karma ei

You also got saddlebags and sissy bar bags back there.
Time to take another look at what I got going It would be bad to have it tip over while on the liftI've never lost one but got lucky and caught one on the way over at least once.
Thanks for the infoYou'll want to loosen the axle nut first before loosening those two nuts on the clamp on the left leg. The clamp holds the axle from spinning as you loosen the nut.
That speedo drive part Mailman mentioned shouldn't just fall out. It should be held in the hub with a stepped washer and the grease seal on top of that .....

I had my bike fall off of one of those. It had straps on it, but obviously, I didn’t strap it correctly.Wood I have thanks
I got this lift figuring it would be rock solid stable up in the air
Now I know better
Thanks !!
ThanksMikey, just a little heads up. When you pull your front wheel out, if you remove the speedometer drive from the left side of the wheel, there is this little circular piece with tabs on it, that goes in there.
You have to be careful when you reinstall it, make sure it’s fitted in there correctly. I failed to do that once before and bent it, then the speedo won’t work.
