Any sign of any burrs or scratches on the inner race sealing surface?
As always, Bob, I am impressed with your determination, your tenacity on this persistent, frustrating leak.Waiting for seal to be delivered. I might as well get the case ready by removing the old one.

With the seal removed, it’s easier to see the relationship between the spacer and the inner race.

What does anyone think of trying this product for sealing this leak?

One advantage is it "cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces".
Or this one:

You could also try contacting them directly for their opinion, I did that once about another application and was somewhat surprised that I got a fast answer!
Just went out to the garage and checked. The 510 is what I used on the case seams of three different motors, a Sportster, an XS650 and a Homelite chain saw.
One thing I like about the way it cures in the absence of air it that means it doesn't cure outside the joint and is easy to clean off any that squeezes out! Also any that squeezes out to a place you can't reach it does not harden and cause any problem.
You've got nothing to lose so maybe try that new sleeve you got? Being a hair shorter shouldn't hurt anything.
A 1 1/2" dia. pvc piece from a sink drain repair kit is good for tapping the new seal in. Note -- it will go in way too far if you keep tapping until it feels seated. There should be a ridge on the seal and a trough in the case you can use to estimate depth. You can also flip the spacer around to let the seal ride in a new place.

Like the USA Women's Soccer Team, you will prevail.
But Jim didn't label his as BEIING an index...
Bob for the score!

Ha! Thanks Doug!
I thought “ Oh what fresh hell is this?”
I landed at DTW @ 3:00 pm and did some chores at home and just drove up to TO for mtgs tomorrow & Tuesday so I’m just catching up. This leak is both interesting and, obviously bloody annoying. Your crack about a “fresh he’ll” really made me laugh though Bob.
You’ll get it.
