Finally after 18 months of searching all over the US I have my first 1970 XS1.
This is an early 1970 matching engine to frame, only 13800 miles that is very original
Another old girl saved. :bike:

fantastic !

never mind about saving the Snow leopards lol :wink2::laugh::laugh:

Its a shame so many original early bikes are still getting cut up to be honest . :(

Out for a country ride down hwy "T" on this nice spring morning . Engine needs a rebuild ,clutch included

Does it count if the bike isn't ours? Since the title is let's see the XS's and not let's see your XS I'll post a bike I saw behind a shop a week or so ago. Don't know the owner but something struck me as familiar so maybe it's been posted here before?
Also a shot of a motor on the bench. It belongs to a local frame builder and I hope to see how it turns out here sometime in the future.

This one loos killer too, Paul
:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Very nice, Carbon. Got some close ups of those exhaust extensions? I'd love to do something like that - it solves the issue of the tight space behind the FC linkages.

And the bars are unique. Great job!
Thanks Machi
Here is some pix let me know if You want different angled pix.

My Son Ryan just purchased his first XS650.
Not wanting one with too much of a modified frame fitted with what he wanted.
With the Steve McQueen bars and low look suits this bike.
Randy in Iowa builds nice modified xs650 bikes with this one too nice to turn down.
It will be heading to Australia to share the workshop with some nice bikes I have.

Beautiful bike. Enjoy.

Thanks....... Ryan cant wait .
I like the bike you are building, I can see that BSA look coming out.
Love the era of the ducktail seats.
Some wild bikes came out with them on, British and Japanese.

I had the seat re-sculptured and covered in leather. It is not very practical but it sure feels and looks good. Yes I was influenced by BSA. I own a 63.and parts of a66. Your bike has a very classy look to it. Tony C.
