They are...I bought mine before the recent price hike. I paid £118 each. Not cheap but hard to find over here...if you have another source do let me know. I'm working on another project right now.

Same here, Ive been looking around. Reckon I might just go with Avon Safety Mileage MkII instead, around £75

The Avon's a great rear tyre...but there isnt a decent front...Unless you go 16 inch front and back and put fat 16x5 inch tyres both ends.
The Avon has a higher profile than the Firestone, so with black rims it look really think. But nice tread profile. Could go Avon back and an 18 inch coker up front. What wheels have you currently got on?

Ive got 18" front & rear on the one Im considering fitting with 'classic' tyres..
Fitting two rears I was thinking...

A bit tappity at the moment, but rephased 750 first run. Started on the second kick. ran about 10 mins, to get timing dialed in and do a heat cycle so i can retorque the head and set the valve lash.

I got bored one day waiting for my dad to get his bike off my jig and started cutting up my frame. After a few hours, salvaging and relocating old frame parts here is the first chop. I can still fit the stock bat under the seat area. Future plans: hardtail with goose neck and raked!:yikes:

Oh I was being nice and I think Jimmy was just trying to help! My comment was more for him than her. :D

Just making sure, that's all. :D

By the way, Nothin' Special, my 83 XS has become a bagger. Gonna get in some tripping now, including an upcoming trip to Nutbush, Tennessee-- the birthplace of the grandmother of Rock'-n-Roll, Tina Turner and the inspiration for the song, Nutbush City Limits... "Motorcycles ain't allowed in it... I hope to see some XSers there no matter what you ride. This is the beginning of what I hope will be something much bigger.
